Description

Whiskey Six BBQ brings together traditional barbecue and organic ingredients from local farmers and suppliers. We want to challenge the traditional view of barbecue without compromising on ingredients, and reinvent what can be created on the grill and smoker. This is West Coast BBQ. Whiskey Six BBQ takes its name from the 1920s McLaughlin H44 Buick, AKA “The Whiskey Six”, that was the rum-running muscle car of its time. To honour our Canadian bootlegging history, we offer an array brown liquor from Vancouver’s own small batch distilleries and local craft beers, as well as a selection of fine whiskies from around the world.

Whiskey Six BBQ in Vancouver has received positive reviews from visitors. It is known for offering high-quality smoked and grilled meats, which are organic and free-range. The restaurant has been serving the local community since 2015 and started as a pop-up restaurant in Richmond. Customers have praised the delicious BBQ dishes and the cozy atmosphere of the restaurant..

This is a haven for anyone who appreciates exceptional service, mouthwatering BBQ, and a fine whisky selection. The heart and soul of this establishment is Marc, an owner and a host whose passion for his craft is evident in every detail. From using only locally sourced ingredients to preparing everything from scratch, his dedication shines through. My highlight was their whiskey collection, the most extensive and impressive assortment of local spirits I’ve ever encountered in Vancouver. I was even able to savor an American bourbon that I had longed to try in Canada.

While some might find the reservation-only policy and specific schedule a bit restrictive, I found that a quick visit to their website provided all the necessary details for planning my visit. It’s a simple step to ensure you get to enjoy what this place has to offer. Once you’re there, it’s all about indulging in delicious food, savoring fantastic drinks, and experiencing a level of personalized service that’s rare to find. For those in Vancouver looking for an intimate and exceptional culinary experience, this is the spot you won’t want to miss.

Best western BBQ I’ve had in the city. The atmosphere is quaint but very cozy and the owner makes everything himself. We splurged on the full platter as a group of 3 to give everything a try and everything went beyond what I could’ve ever imagined: the ribs are so tender and fall perfectly off the bone, the brisket and chicken are both incredibly juicy, and the pulled pork is just perfectly flavourful (and not too dry!)
All sauces really elevated each every single dish, would absolutely come again.

Best brisket in town and in fact, it’s worth coming to town to eat here. The dining room is nicely laid out, cozy but not cramped with well-considered decor. This is a nice local restaurant which is a worthy destination because the food and experience are just so wonderful. I’ve driven by many times and finally managed to get in and, my gosh, it’s great. And very reasonably priced considering the excellent quality.
