We were absolutely thrilled with our experience at Shangri La as our wedding venue. Right from the outset, their professionalism and attention to detail were evident. Providing us with a comprehensive cost breakdown and patiently addressing all our inquiries, they instilled confidence in our decision-making process.
Shangri La’s event space is their entire 6th floor complete with a glass-enclosed terrace, multiple rooms, a theatre, and restrooms. The inclusion of tables, chairs, and charger plates in the pricing streamlined our planning process.
Our event manager, Divyraj, was a standout, seamlessly addressing our needs and suggesting alternative event flow for our day. The menu tasting affirmed the exceptional service and culinary mastery we would experience on our special day.
On the wedding day, Shangri La’s team went above and beyond, ensuring everything was set up for our decorations. Throughout the reception, their attentive staff swiftly attended to guests’ needs, from wine spills to inquiries, ensuring a seamless experience for all. Ellie and Divyraj were such a huge help on the day and everything went perfectly. The food, from the delectable beef tenderloin to the crowd-pleasing lemon cocktails and duck tacos, got glowing reviews from even from the most pickiest of family members.
Furthermore, the valet and concierge services were invaluable, facilitating the smooth transition of our decor items and luggage into the hotel. The added bonus of a Chi Spa voucher allowed us to unwind the following morning, with Brenda and Emily providing a much-needed moment of relaxation after an amazing night.
We had multiple guests tell us that it was the best wedding they’d been to in years. Thanks to Shangri La and its dedicated team, our special day surpassed all our expectations.

First time staying at the Shangri-La Vancouver and what an incredible experience. It’s centrally located and very clean. Every single person I spoke with at this hotel was very helpful and always took an extra step to make my stay so much better. The room was better than expected, the service was 10/10, the brunch at the hotel was delicious (and service impeccable). The heated pool and hot tub was a perfect touch for relaxation. If you have time, book a treatment at the spa!
